Gita is a Registered Physiotherapist and Certified Vestibular Therapist. Gita has been interested in assessing people with dizziness, providing vestibular rehabilitation and concussion management in the past 10 years of her career. Currently, Gita only offers a few clinical hours a week and dedicates most of this time to patients with dizziness & concussion. Gita continues to provide mentorship for physiotherapists interested in managing vestibular conditions. As well, she provides consultation for healthcare practitioners who are treating complex vestibular cases. She continues to provide consultation for patients suffering from complex chronic pain conditions.
As a Physiotherapist, Gita has mainly worked in multidisciplinary clinics and has developed programs to improve community access to multidisciplinary rehabilitation care. Gita is passionate about the important role that physiotherapy and rehabilitation can play in improving the quality of life of people with chronic conditions. She has pursued her passion for educating patients and medical community through delivering several workshops and presentations to a variety of audiences. Gita is actively involved in clinical research and her interests include how to improve community access to vestibular rehabilitation and falls prevention programs through community clinics and virtual platforms.
Gita is a lifelong learner and continues to develop her clinical skills by completing post graduate courses and programs. In recent years, most of her continuing education has been focused on vestibular rehabilitation, concussion management, and Chronic Pain Management:
