Cristen graduated from Everest College of Health Care and Technology in 2010 and has been practicing as a registered massage therapist since then. Cristen joined Physiotherapy at Don Mills team in 2011 and has been an integral part of an interdisciplinary team effort for treating conditions such as chronic pain, Frozen shoulder, TMJ dysfunction and injuries sustained as a result of sports, work or car accidents. She provides massage treatments for expecting or new mothers as part of our Pre-post natal care program.

Cristen enjoys helping patients to recover from injury by assisting in tissue healing and restoring postural balance using manual techniques. She uses massage to treat a variety of physical ailments and to promote health and well being through releasing tension and encouraging relaxation. In addition to her manual treatments, Cristen incorporates K-Taping to direct fluid, assist the body to relieve pain and aid in muscle and joint rehabilitation. To stimulate the body’s natural physiological responses and further enhance the benefits of her massage therapy treatments, Cristen incorporates hydrotherapy into her massage treatments.

During your treatment with Cristen, you will experience the benefits of a wide variety of massage techniques including Swedish massage, Myofascial Release, Joint Mobilization, Trigger Point Therapy as well as tips on stretching and remedial exercise.

Cristen enjoys an active lifestyle, has a cheerful spirit and since she has lived in Don Mills neighborhood for most of her life, is a familiar face to many of our patients.
