Shoulder Instability Treatment in Toronto

Shoulder Instability Treatment

Shoulder instabilityShoulder joint instability takes place when the humerus head, located on the upper end of the upper arm is forced out from the shoulder socket. This can occur due to overuse of the joint or sudden injury. It can also happen in the absence of dislocation to people with naturally looser ligaments, or due to repetitive strain. Shoulder joint instability has a tendency to be chronic, as a dislocated shoulder is susceptible to further episodes.

Some symptoms of shoulder joint instability include:

  • Pain originating from a shoulder injury
  • Repeated dislocations or giving out of the shoulder
  • Sensation of the shoulder feeling loose or slipping in and out of the joint

Common treatment options

  • ART and IASTM Manual therapy
  • Dry Needling
  • Rehabilitation exercises
  • Ultrasound
  • Acupuncture
  • Laser Therapy
  • Interferential Current
  • TENS
  • Chiropractic & Massage therapy
