GLA:D Program For Knee & Hip Osteoarthritis

This program includes exercise and education for knee & hip arthritis. GLA:D program is conducted twice per week in our fully equipped gym. In addition to exercise sessions, education on pain management, diet and nutrition, home program, proper footwear, and other relevant topics are included in this program.

The focus of this program is to improve clients’ flexibility, strength, endurance, posture, balance, and coordination, as well as to educate them on proper body mechanics to prevent falls resulting in injuries and fractures.

Sassy 60s

Exercise for active adultsAn enjoyable and fun exercise program conducted twice weekly with a focus on conditioning, flexibility and strengthening exercises for upper and lower extremities as well as core stabilization, balance, and coordination. This program is designed for our more active and independent mature clients.  Sassy 60s is for active adults around the age of 60 or older. This class incorporates Pilates Barre, postural and balance exercises in a fun and engaging program. We also add elements of weight training using elastic bands and light hand weights to modify the routine depending on the participant’s fitness level.

A free consultation with a physiotherapist is recommended to ensure the suitability of the program for participants.

Balance & Dizziness Program

An 8 weeks/12 session program for patients who have been dealing with chronic dizziness and balance issues. People who have been dealing with dizziness for any length of time gradually develop a fear of movement which affects many aspects of their life.

Balance impairments could affect patients due to many factors including some medication. No matter what causes impaired balance, in most cases, balance can be improved significantly by exercise program and education aimed at improving strength, coordination, confidence as well as on proper footwear and more…
