Physiomobility offers exercise therapy in Shops at Don Mills. We offer customized exercise sessions for your rehabilitation program as well as small group exercise sessions to improve strength, mobility and beat arthritis pain. Therapeutic exercises are one of the most effective components of physiotherapy and rehabilitation program as well as preventing injuries. At Physiomobility, our personalized treatments typically include a variety of hands-on techniques, education, and exercises. Depending on the goals of treatment and the level of our client’s functional abilities, a physiotherapist prescribes targeted exercises to patients. These exercises are meant to be performed in the clinic and as part of a home exercise program. The exercises are to stretch short muscles, strengthen weak muscles and assist muscles to work together in a coordinated fashion to improve performance and function.
Your exercise therapy session starts with an assessment by a physiotherapist or a chiropractor. Your practitioner is an expert in exercise prescription and works closely with our Kinesiologist, exercise therapists or trainer as part of a team to assist you to get back to your normal life as soon as possible. After a course of education and ensuring that the exercises are performed correctly, your physiotherapist will attempt to gradually discharge you with an exercise program that can be performed independently at home or in an exercise facility. Functional independence is the ultimate goal in many rehabilitation protocols.
We are firm believers in exercise therapy being the most important component of any rehabilitation or injury prevention. We would like to improve our North York and Don Mills community to safe and effective exercises. We offer a range of exercise programs in private, semi-private and small group sessions.
